Getting started
Set up Spotify in anyPWA
The screenshots show iPhone. Follow the same steps on iPad. Tap a screenshot to enlarge it.
Install and download filters
Install anyPWA from the App Store and open it. If it asks to download ad-blocking filters, tap Download. Let the download finish before opening Spotify.
Add a website
Tap + at the top right of the library to open Add website. In an empty library, you can also tap the blue Add a website button.
Choose Spotify and save
Tap Spotify under Examples. anyPWA fills in the name, address and icon. Leave Block ads on, then tap Save.

Open Spotify and sign in
After saving, tap Spotify in your anyPWA library. Sign in to your Spotify account on the website. Your sign-in in the regular Spotify app or Safari is separate from this saved website.
This guide uses Spotify’s web player at open.spotify.com. The address is filled in automatically when you choose the Spotify example.
Choose what to play
Search for a song, open an album or browse your playlists. Tap an individual track to play it. The web player supports next and previous track controls, and you can browse full albums.
anyPWA’s Spotify support works with the free web player and filters audio ads. You do not need to purchase the anyPWA unlock if Spotify is your only saved website.
Keep music playing in the background
Start playback before switching to another app or locking your iPhone or iPad. Music can keep playing in the background. You still need an internet connection because the web player streams from Spotify.
Questions
Does this use the regular Spotify app?
You use Spotify’s web interface inside anyPWA. The regular Spotify app can stay installed, but its sign-in and settings are separate.
Is this a Spotify Premium subscription?
anyPWA does not include Spotify Premium. It provides ad blocking and playback support for Spotify’s website. Premium account features, including offline downloads, are not supplied by anyPWA.
Can I add YouTube or YouTube Music too?
Yes. One saved website is free; a one-time in-app purchase unlocks multiple saved websites. If you save Spotify, YouTube and YouTube Music as three entries, you need that unlock.
What should I check if playback or filtering fails?
Check that you are signed in on open.spotify.com and that Block ads is enabled for your Spotify entry. To check the setting, touch and hold the tile and choose Edit. The icon at the top left of the library shows filter status.
If playback still fails, contact anyPWA support with your device model and what you were trying to play. Spotify can change its website, and compatibility may change with it.

One saved website is free, including ad blocking and playback features. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks multiple saved websites and library rearranging. There is no anyPWA subscription.
The websites have their own accounts and services. anyPWA does not include a paid subscription to Spotify.
